Cheap Holiday Deals To Ayia Napa

A guide to Ayia Napa

Ayia Napa has come into it’s own in recent years after living in Ibiza’s shadows for a long time. While once trailing behind Ibiza as the clubbing capital of Europe,Ayia Napa nightlife has raised it’s game and is looking to overthrow it’s Balearic opponent.  The town has got some fantastic clubs and is drawing in the casual and hardcore clubber

With cost become  major issue in these hard times, people are avoiding the high cost Ibiza and going for resorts like Ayia Napa as a cheaper alternative. With a large amount of clubs and lounge bars springing up all over the town it’s easy to mistake Ayia Napa as solely a clubbing area for young people, but that is simply not the case. There is much more to do here.

Firstly consider the sandy beaches Ayia Napa has 14 beaches in total and every one has been awarded a blue flag for cleanliness.  One of the best is Harbour beach in Grecian Bay. Popular with couples and families, Harbour beach in Grecian Bay is ideal for people wanting to relax.  With options of watersports and many eatingestablishments, as well as being a white sandy beach, a lot of people choose to stay here for the duration of their holiday

Also suprising is the number of Museums Ayia Napa has to offer.  You can visit the tombs in an ancient burial site in Makronissos, or for the seafaring, visit the Pierieds museum of marine life, or the municipal museum of the sea.  Alternatively visit some or all of the 15 monasteries in the area or the aqueduct. With restoration only recently completed , it’s a must see.

A recent event is the Ayia Napa festival, created in 1985.  It’s a celebration of a variety of the cultural and historical traditions of Cyprus. Even more recent is the Ayia Napa Youth festival, a music festival which while in it’s infancy is aiming to become an internationally recognised music festival.

Tell all your friend you have been to the most eastern part of Europe when you go to Cape Greco.  Situated between Protaras and Ayia Napa, it’s an area of natural beauty. It is located between Protaras and Ayia Napa and is a beautiful natural park with fantastic views.  The fortunate visitor to Cape Greco may get a glimpse of the Ayia Napa sea monster. While there is no proof that such a monster exists, there have been various sightings by locals and the government has even set up a search to prove the exist of the monster. Apparently a friendly monster, could you be the great discoverer

If searching for a monster isn’t working for you, maybe searching for a celebrity is. Ayia Napa is popular with a host of celebrities including footballer Rio Ferdinand, Boxer David Haye and Beyonce.

Ayia Napa is not an all year round resort, so choose wisely.  As with a lot of beach holiday resorts, the town with tends to be something of a ghost town in the winter months and so definitely only think of venturing here  in the summer.\ Come anytime but summer and you will notice a lot of clubs, bars and locals will disappear for the season.  The heat vcan be uncomfortable at times, with temperatures of over 80 fahrenheit.

Whether you are going for the clubbing, the beachesof the history, you could do a lot worse than Ayia Napa.

There are many fantastic hotels in Ayia Napa.If you run a hotel and need to purchase hotel supplies then think about using a buying group.
